Dues for Aggie Blades are $150 each full semester. However, we are now accepting new applications for the second league at the midway point of the semester. Dues for those joining for only the second league are $100.
Dues cover entry to two (2) Aggie Blades Throwing Leagues, an Aggie Blades Tournament at the end of each season, a custom Aggie Blades T-shirt, discounted throwing at The Cut, and more.
Dues can be paid in cash to either our President or Treasurer or stop by and pay at The Cut Axe Throwing if you want to pay with a credit/debit card.
Meetings will occur each week when we meet at The Cut for the Aggie Blades Leagues. Members will choose if they want to compete on Monday or Tuesday nights. There may also be other meetings on top of this, but members will be notified well in advance.
Yes, members can compete in all Aggie Blades Leagues (Mon. / Tue. League, Legends League, and Knife League). Dues cover the first league and joining another league on top of that would be an additional $50 per league. (e.g. being in all 3 leagues would be a total of $250 per semester)
Members can treat league however they wish to. Whether that means you want to be laid back and just hang out or get super competitive and try to make the Pro League. We will support however we can so that league is fun for everyone.
We have experienced coaches in the organization and at The Cut who can teach anyone how to throw fairly fast. There is absolutely no skill required to join.
All equipment will be provided for throwing. However, if you are serious about competing in the sport of axe throwing outside of the club, it is recommended that you purchase a competition hatchet.
The only requirement is that you wear closed-toe shoes. Other than that, you should wear whatever is comfortable for you to throw in.
It is perfectly fine if you don't have a car at school. Bus 22 from campus has a stop near The Cut that will pick you up/drop you off by Rudder Tower.
