I was born in Colorado and moved to Texas when I was 8. I lived in a small town outside of Fort Worth called Aledo, before coming down to College Station and Texas A&M where I am majoring in Biomedical Sciences. I plan to go on to medical school and become a diagnostic radiologist.
I had done axe throwing a handful of times with my family back home and really enjoyed it. When I found out there was an organization for it at A&M I was instantly intrigued, and after talking to them at MSC Open House I decided I would join. Ultimately axe throwing is a competitive sport but doesn’t cater to the tallest or fastest athletes like some other sports, that also doubles as a great stress relief and is arguably even therapeutic.
With no real beginning experience with throwing axes, I finished my first semester in Aggie Blades as 2nd place overall for the Monday Group, 4th place overall between Monday and Tuesday groups, as well as most improved across both groups.
